The New Year

Blessings and Happy New Year to you and your sweet family!
I didn’t quite make it in time to write my Christmas cards but I didn’t want another year to go by without sending our love.
We are all doing well and thanking the Lord for His goodness to us. John just celebrated his big 50th birthday and continues to stay busy making a living for all of us. I am still doing what I have been doing for over 20 years—running the household, teaching school, and keeping us all together!! John and I have also been given the privilege of marriage mentoring in our church.
Our oldest daughter Carey is living in Charleston, S.C. working at Charleston Southern University. Our second daughter, Ruth is married to a wonderful guy, Marc, and is a labor and delivery nurse at Women’s Hospital in Greensboro. Our next two daughters, Addie, a senior, and Emma, a junior, are at Wesleyan Academy in High Point. Emma dances for the Greensboro Ballet and was in the Nutcracker. The next four are still homeschooled, Grace, 14, John, 11, Rebekah, 8, and Kemp, 6. Grace is very outgoing and sings with the Cantabile for Greensboro Youth Chorus. John Jr.’s love is basketball. He is playing on a community team here in Pleasant Garden. Rebekah is my littlest girl---she is an animal lover (especially horses!). And Kemp, well, you just have to meet him!! He is quite a character! He is very loving, very active, and can talk to ANYONE about ANYTHING!! Remind you of anyone? :)
Enough about all of us!! We just wanted you to know that we haven’t forgotten you and still love you very much. Time goes by, but we still remember sweet times with you!!! May the Lord bless you and continue to bind us together with His love.
